Overview
This carefully crafted 5-day Cairo tour with a full-day Luxor excursion by flight is an ideal option for travelers with limited time who want to experience both Egypt's greatest city and its most significant ancient sites in Upper Egypt. Based entirely in Cairo with a day flight to Luxor and back, this package offers the perfect blend of ancient Egyptian civilization, Islamic heritage, and Pharaonic monuments without the need for multiple hotel transfers.
Spend four rich nights in Cairo exploring an exceptional concentration of historical treasures. Visit the iconic Great Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx — the world's most recognized monuments — before traveling south to the ancient necropolis of Sakkara, home to the world's first pyramid: the Step Pyramid of Djoser, built 4,700 years ago.
Discover the open-air museum of Memphis, Egypt's original capital and seat of power for the Old Kingdom Pharaohs, where the colossal Colossus of Ramses II dominates the museum grounds. Back in Cairo, explore the world-famous Egyptian Museum, the medieval fortress of the Citadel of Saladin, the Coptic churches of Old Cairo, and the legendary Khan El Khalili Bazaar.
On Day 4, fly to Luxor for a spectacular full-day excursion covering both the East Bank (Karnak and Luxor Temples) and the West Bank (Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon) before returning to Cairo the same evening.
This is Egypt's history at its finest — efficiently and expertly delivered.
