Itinerary
Day 1 · Arrive in Cairo
Met at the airport and taken to your hotel.
Day 2 · The pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum
Giza and the Sphinx in the morning, the Grand Egyptian Museum in the afternoon.
Day 3 · Alexandria
A day on the coast: the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Catacombs of Kom el-Shoqafa, Pompey's Pillar and lunch by the sea.
Day 4 · Old Cairo
Coptic Cairo, the Citadel and the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, then Khan el-Khalili.
Day 5 · Fly to Aswan
Fly south and check in by the river. Afternoon felucca sail around Elephantine and Kitchener's Island.
Day 6 · Abu Simbel
A short flight to Abu Simbel to stand before the four colossal statues of Ramses II and the temple of Nefertari, then back to Aswan and on board your ship.
Days 7–8 · Philae, Kom Ombo and Edfu
Philae Temple and the High Dam, then sail north to Kom Ombo and Edfu.
Day 9 · Luxor by air and on foot
A balloon at sunrise over the West Bank, then the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's temple, Karnak and Luxor Temple.
Day 10 · Fly home
Fly from Luxor to Cairo to connect with your journey home.

The balloon flight
Balloons fly at sunrise when the wind allows. If a flight is cancelled for weather we refund that part or rebook it for the next morning where possible.
Visas
Most nationalities can get an Egypt visa online in advance or on arrival at the airport. Tell us your nationality and we will confirm what you need.
