Itinerary
Day 1 · Arrive in Cairo
Met at the airport and taken to your hotel.
Day 2 · Giza, Saqqara and Memphis
The pyramids and the Sphinx, then the Step Pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara, Egypt's oldest stone monument, and the colossal statue of Ramses II at Memphis.
Day 3 · Museums and old Cairo
The Grand Egyptian Museum in the morning, then Coptic Cairo, the Citadel of Saladin and the lanes of Khan el-Khalili.
Day 4 · Fly to Aswan and board
Fly to Aswan and board your ship. Visit the High Dam and Philae Temple before an evening felucca sail.
Days 5–6 · Kom Ombo, Edfu and the Esna lock
Sail north, stopping at Kom Ombo's double temple and the Temple of Horus at Edfu, then pass through the lock at Esna.
Day 7 · Luxor
The Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's temple and the Colossi of Memnon on the West Bank; Karnak and Luxor Temple on the East Bank. An optional sunrise balloon flight is easy to add.
Day 8 · Disembark and fly home
After breakfast, fly from Luxor to Cairo to connect with your international flight.
