Dubai works brilliantly as a long weekend — if you resist trying to do everything. Fly Friday morning, return Sunday night, and treat the city as three experiences rather than twenty attractions.

Stay somewhere central enough that you are not losing hours in traffic: Downtown or Marina for first visits, or a beach hotel if rest is the priority. Book your Burj Khalifa slot or desert safari in advance; walk-up queues eat into a short trip.

Saturday morning is for the old Dubai — Al Fahidi, the creek abra and a quiet hour in the Gold Souk before the heat peaks. Keep the afternoon for the pool or spa. Evening can be a dinner with a view, not another shopping mall unless that is what you came for.

Sunday is your flex day: beach, Global Village in season, or a half-day yacht if you want something memorable without the full desert commitment. Skip overlapping theme parks on a two-night stay — save those for a longer trip.

ITTAS packages handle flights, hotel and the one or two paid experiences that actually define the weekend, so your only job is to pack light and enjoy the skyline.
